ADAMAS / Athlete

Whereabouts.

Your plans change.
Your whereabouts should too.

Whereabouts helps anti-doping organisations find you for testing without advance notice. If you are in the Registered Testing Pool (RTP) of ADAMAS or your International Federation, keeping your information accurate is part of your responsibility.

For RTP athletes

A missed update
can have consequences.

Any combination of three filing failures and/or missed tests can constitute an anti-doping rule violation under Article 2.4 of the World Anti-Doping Code.

Filing failure.

A missing, late, incomplete or inaccurate filing can lead to a filing failure.

Missed test.

Not being available for testing at your declared location during your nominated 60-minute slot can lead to a missed test.

Common questions

A little clarity.
A better routine.

Confirm your pool status and the filing instructions that apply to you with ADAMAS or your International Federation.

Who manages my Whereabouts?

Your managing organisation may be ADAMAS or your International Federation. Check your RTP notification for the organisation responsible for collecting your filings, often called your Whereabouts custodian.

Can someone submit it for me?

A representative can assist, but you remain responsible for making sure your information is accurate, complete and updated. Review any entries submitted on your behalf.

Do I still update it on holiday or when injured?

Yes. While you remain in an RTP, keep your locations and schedule current during holidays, injury, travel and competition periods. Confirm any special instructions with your custodian.

What if I cannot access ADAMS?

Contact your Whereabouts custodian promptly for account or filing support. Use an alternative update method only if that organisation confirms it is accepted.

Not in an RTP? Athletes outside an RTP may still be tested without advance notice. Other testing pools can have their own information requirements; confirm what applies to you.
