ADAMAS DCO Reaccreditation and Refresher Course 2024

ADAMAS DCO Reaccreditation and Refresher Course 2024

KUALA LUMPUR, June 23rd – The Anti-Doping Agency of Malaysia (ADAMAS) successfully concluded its 2024 Doping Control Officer (DCO) Reaccreditation & Refresher Course, held from June 21st to 23rd at the Vivatel Hotel. The course aimed to enhance the skills and knowledge of DCOs ensuring they are equipped to uphold the highest standards of doping control, as per the World Anti-Doping Code and International Standard for Testing and Investigations (ISTI).

Under the ISTI, DCOs must undergo reassessment (theoretical and/or practical) every two years to maintain their accreditation. Those who have not participated in sample collection activities within the year prior to re-accreditation are required to repeat a full training program.

The course content was enhanced this year to include case scenario activities, discussions on best practices, and increased focus on practical skills in sample collection, ensuring participants are well-prepared to handle real-world scenarios. Participants also engaged in interactive sessions, group activities, and practical scenarios to reinforce their learning.
