Anti-Doping Rule Violation (ADRV) Steps
A clear, fair, and timely process for handling potential Anti-Doping Rule Violations (ADRVs), aligned with the World Anti-Doping Code 2027 and the International Standard for Results Management (ISRM) 2027.

Notification of a Potential Anti-Doping Rule Violation
If the case proceeds, ADAMAS promptly notifies the athlete and provides key information, including the athlete’s options, response deadline, and next steps.

Initial Review
ADAMAS conducts an initial review of available documentation and relevant information (e.g., Doping Control Form, laboratory report, athlete records, and TUE status) to determine whether the case should proceed.

B Sample Analysis (if requested)
Athletes may request B Sample analysis within the specified deadline. Athletes and/or their representatives may attend the opening and analysis, or request an independent witness, in accordance with the International Standard for Laboratories.

Provisional Suspension (where applicable)
Depending on the substance/method and applicable rules, a Provisional Suspension may be imposed. Athletes will be informed of relevant options available, including any process to request lifting, where applicable.

Charge
After reviewing the athlete’s explanation (or if no response is received), ADAMAS may issue a formal charge stating the alleged rule(s), a summary of facts, and the athlete’s options to accept consequences or request a hearing.

Hearing
If contested, the case proceeds to a fair hearing before an independent panel. Athletes may present oral and written submissions and supporting evidence.

Decision
A reasoned decision is issued following the hearing (or acceptance). ADAMAS notifies relevant parties and completes any required reporting through applicable systems and processes.

Appeal
Athletes and other parties with a right to appeal may submit an appeal in accordance with the applicable appeal pathways and timelines.
